Six Activities of Daily Living
- Eating
- Bathing and Hygiene
- Dressing
- Grooming
- Mobility
- Toileting/Continence
As we age, the six activities of daily living can become difficult. Many seniors choose to avail themselves of the services provided by a Home Health Aide to facilitate these routine activities that we all tend to do each day without needing assistance.
A person’s ability to perform these activities is crucial to maintaining independence. In-home care assistance is becoming an increasingly popular means of keeping that independence in effect and a key component in the individual’s health and well being.
We regularly work with the adult children of our clients who are concerned about their aging parents’ safety and well being. We often receive a phone call that begins with, “I was at my Mom’s yesterday and I noticed that she is having some difficulty with…”
We understand your concern and our job is to provide a safe, caring environment for your loved one.
Different Scenarios
Our nursing assistants typically provide care in three different scenarios: the client’s home, independent and assisted living facilities and in the hospital. Our aides are experienced in each of these situations and the specific challenges that each present.
