National Alzheimer’s Month – Signs of Alzheimers

signs of AlzheimersThis month is National Alzheimer’s Awareness Month. It’s a time to reflect and take a long, hard look at an increasingly prevalent but misunderstood disease that is one of the most common forms of dementia. Learn the signs of Alzheimers so you can initiate early detection and diagnosis. Often mistaken for signs of stress, aging or other illnesses, the prevalence of Alzheimer’s increases as a population ages. In those you love and care for, and even in yourself, it is important to watch for signs of cognitive impairment that begin to disrupt your daily life. Early detection and identification of Alzheimer’s will not be able to cure it, as there is no known cure, but it will lead to a better ability to manage the symptoms of the disease.

Comfort Home Care is certified in Alzheimer’s and dementia care by the Alzheimer’s Association. As a local, family owned Home Care Services Company, we have been tending to the needs of those with Alzheimer’s in Montgomery County Maryland for almost fifteen years. We offer home care services specifically tailored to those with Alzheimer’s and dementia, and a complimentary consultation to determine how we can best meet your home care services needs.

It is our belief that offering local, customized solutions that provide exactly what is needed is the best way to ease the difficulty of living with Alzheimer’s. We don’t work on a long-term, contract basis, as we recognize the changing nature of the illness and that your needs may change or stop entirely. Our nurses are certified, experienced healthcare professionals who we train to be the best of the best.

A diagnosis of Alzheimer’s can be difficult to bear for the afflicted as well as their loved ones. In difficult times, you need someone on your side who offers a home care services solution tailored to your needs. Comfort Home Care is well equipped to do just that.
