Trusted & Compassionate
in Montgomery County
Do your loved ones need in-home elder care now? Comfort Home Care provides state certified nursing assistants (CNAs) and geriatric nursing assistants (GNAs) who offer the best home care services for seniors in Montgomery County. Read on to learn how our aides are caring individuals who are highly skilled in assisting with the activities of daily living, and who can provide needed assistance in other areas as well.
The activities of daily living include eating, bathing/personal hygiene, dressing, transferring, toileting, and continence. Along with these, our aides can help with cooking, light cleaning, laundry, exercise, and driving the client (doctors’ appointments, grocery store, pharmacy, etc.).
We create a care plan for each client and our Registered Nurses conduct periodic visits to each client to ensure that the care plan is being followed, and that our clients are well, happy and that their environment is conducive to their care.
A typical day
A typical day in a client’s home can include helping them get out of bed, bathing, dressing, and helping with elimination. The aide can then prepare healthy meals, both for the time that they are with the client as well as preparing a meal for later in the day. The aide can also help with exercise, from a walk around the block to basic physical therapy.
The aide is also there to interact with her client. The psychosocial aspect of care, the client’s interaction in a social environment, is an important aspect of their health. In certain instances, the aide might be the only personal interaction the client has on certain days. They form a bond, and often a friendship. We take this into account when pairing an aide with a client. We’ve seen this positively impact the health and happiness of the client in many instances.
