Coming home is the next step in recovery. When a person suffers an illness, accident, or undergoes a surgical procedure they are often moved from the hospital, the primary place of treatment, to an inpatient rehabilitation or skilled nursing facility. A rehab discharge does not mean the patient is fully recovered or able to live independently.
