Bethesda In-Home Care Award Winner for the Second Time

In-Home Care Top Vote Getter Award“We are so pleased to receive this outstanding Best of Bethesda community award from the readers of  Bethesda Magazine.”

-Comfort Home Care’s Principal Owner of Comfort Home Care

Comfort Home Care was founded in 1999 at a time when qualified, reliable, flexible in-home care in Bethesda, MD and throughout Maryland was hard to find. Our company’s founding is a personal story. As our own grandparents aged, and needed quality care, we wanted in-home care and we wanted to keep them in Maryland, in their homes and near their family.

We wanted to respect their wishes to age-in-place but we also wanted to be sure that they remained safe, comfortable and happy. It was important for us that they also maintain their dignity and independence. We found few flexible options. Care was only in extremes such as institutional nursing homes, expensive private nursing, or retirement communities. While each of these options has a place in eldercare services, none suited our parents needs. We were, like many families in Maryland, frustrated.

We learned that caring for elderly loved ones, whether they are recovering from an injury, illness, or surgery, suffering from dementia, or just need an extra hand around their home takes a team of family and professionals with the same goals for in-home care in Bethesda or anywhere in Maryland.

Our client families say it best.

“We have been using Comfort Home Care for eight months and have been quite pleased to see my mother’s health improve, her weight increase, and her outlook brighten. It is due to the wonderful ladies that have come to work with her and now love her and do everything she needs. My mother feels very much at home with this new way of life and is able to do things she can and can accept help with the things she can’t do.”

Susan – In-home Care, Bethesda, MD client.

“We are delighted with the caregivers you have provided to help my father. They are first-rate, caring individuals whom we can count on without exception to be there on time, and to provide for all of my father’s needs while at the same time respecting his dignity and personal style.”

Amy – Homecare, Bethesda, MD Client

We receive dozens of emails and notes of appreciation like these each month from our family members. We see first hand how they appreciate our level of service.

To achieve the best outcome, we use a team approach to provide the best possible support for our clients. Our caregivers must be licensed Certified Nursing Assistants or Geriatric Nursing Assistants. Before we hire any caregiver they go through an interview process that includes verbal and written skills assessments, in person interviews, health screenings, nationwide background checks and reference checks by our staff. Only then do we hire those caregivers that we would want to take care of our own family members.

“Seventeen years later we are a well-established and respected family run business, locally owned and operated, and not part of a franchise.”
